Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Júnior, commonly known as Oscar, plays as an attacking midfielder.

Oscar came through the youth academy at União Barbarense and impressed from an early age. Oscar was subsequently signed by São Paulo FC in 2009 where in his first season he made 11 appearances for the first team aged just 17. The following season controversy followed as Oscar agent claimed São Paulo had not paid his wages which rendered his contract void. Oscar then joined Internacional on a free transfer, however São Paulo claimed he was still there player until on the 30th May 2012 the two clubs reached a settlement regarding his contract.

Oscar's first season at Internacional was blighted by injury and he was only able to make 6 appearances, but then in the 2011 season he excelled where he made 44 appearances, scored 13 goals and made 13 assists. It was during this season when he made his senior international debut for Brazil in 2011 in a 0-0 draw with Argentina. Midway through the 2012 season he was signed by Chelsea FC for a fee believed to be in the region of £25m.

He has 6 caps for the Brazilian national football team, he played at every youth level before the seniors and most notably scored a hattrick in the U20s FIFA U20's World Cup final against Portugal at the Estadio El Campín, inevitably drawing comparisons with England's Geoff Hurst the only player to have ever scored a hattrick in a senior FIFA World Cup final.
