Chelsea's
Brazilian full-back Wallace has returned to his homeland after joining
Gremio on loan until June 2017.
The 21-year-old has departed Stamford Bridge for his fourth loan spell after
failing to break into the first-team squad.
Wallace, who has been capped by Brazil at U17 and U20 level, joined Chelsea
from Fluminese in the summer of 2013.
He then spent the 2013/14 season on loan with Inter Milan but made just
three substitute appearances in Serie A.
Another loan spell followed for the 2014/15 campaign, this time in the
Netherlands with Vitesse Arnhem and he made more of an impact with 18
Eredivisie appearances, including 13 starts and one goal.
However, he was still deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea this season
and has spent the first half of the campaign back in Serie A with Carpi, for
whom he featured seven times, with just two starts.
Wallace's spell in Italy is now over, though, and he will spend the next 18
months back in Brazil with Gremio.
