Mourinho wants to stay at Chelsea despite the champions' dismal campaign,
and hopes owner Roman Abramovich feels the same.
Mourinho saw Chelsea fall to their ninth Premier League defeat of the
season, going down 2-1 at leaders Leicester on Monday Night Football.
The pressure is on Mourinho despite guiding the Blues to the Premier League
title last season, and the 52-year-old made clear after the match that he
wishes to remain at Stamford Bridge.
"I want to stay," Mourinho said. "I hope the board and Mr Abramovich want me
to stay.
"At the moment we are in a zone where I feel ashamed. I don't believe [we
are in a relegation battle]. We are in the relegation zone - an area in the
table. But to be in a battle is to be there for three or four months and I
don't think this will be so."
Having claimed he had been "betrayed" by some of his players during his
post-match interview with Sky Sports, Mourinho reiterated his stance once
again in the press conference, saying he had identified movements where
Leicester would score their goals before the game.
"I feel my work is betrayed. I worked four days in training for this match.
"I identified four movements where Leicester score a lot of their goals and
in two of the four situations I identified they scored their goals. I went
through it all with the players, you can ask them."
After Chelsea halved the deficit with 13 minutes to go at the King Power
Stadium, but Mourinho criticised Leicester's ball boys, suggesting he felt
the hosts were time-wasting.
"They were a disgrace to the Premier League," said Mourinho.
