Brom manager Tony Pulis thinks it is a 'joke' to suggest that Chelsea are in
a crisis ahead of the Blues' trip to The Hawthorns on Sunday.
The reigning Premier League champions have just one point from their first
two games of the new season and suffered a 3-0 defeat at Manchester City
last weekend.
However, Pulis scoffed at the idea when it was suggested to him that the
Baggies would be tackling a club in crisis on Sunday.
"It is a joke what you just said," he said. "A crisis after two games? This
isn't a comedy show.
"They could have (new signing) Pedro, (Diego) Costa and (Eden) Hazard
playing, that's not bad is it?
"They're the champions and they deserved to win it. They were so far ahead
of everyone.
"We know it's going to be tough. To have Man City and Chelsea as our first
two home games is very difficult, plus we have the window to deal with."
West Brom defeated Chelsea 3-0 at the end of last season, but the Blues had
already won the Premier League title, and Pulis knows the visitors will be
desperate for points this time.
"We'll be facing a wounded animal," he said. "When we beat them last season
they had a player sent off, people forget that."
Like Chelsea, West Brom have one point after their first two matches, having
also been defeated 3-0 by Manchester City before drawing 0-0 at Watford last
week.
