Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc says Zlatan Ibrahimovic will play against
Lens on Saturday to prepare for the Champions League clash with Chelsea.
The Sweden striker has missed the last two matches due to suspension.
Blanc is planning to rest players ahead of Wednesday’s last 16 second-leg
tie at Stamford Bridge, but wants Ibrahimovic to get match fit.
"He is ready. We have had him working while he was out suspended and he has
had a good break, which he needed,” the Frenchman said.
"Now he needs to play, and the match against Lens is a good thing for him as
it will give him a taste of competition before Chelsea."
Skipper Thiago Silva will be rested for the Ligue 1 game but Italian
international midfielder Thiago Motta is available again after recovering
from injury.
Blanc added: "We bring back Thiago Motta who is over his calf injury. He
hasn't played for three weeks, so we will see how he gets on. He is a very
important player for our philosophy.
"He took a blow to the calf against Lyon which didn't prevent him from
playing against Nantes and it was against Nantes that he got injured."
PSG, who beat Monaco 2-0 in the French Cup quarter finals in midweek, can go
top of the league if they beat struggling Lens.
