Mourinho is not expecting to make any major changes to his Chelsea squad
next season because he likes his current options.
Chelsea's elimination from the Champions League at the last-16 stage
prompted suggestions Mourinho would spend big in the summer, with the club
linked to a move for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
But Mourinho insists only minor changes are needed to his squad when the
window opens in July, and he is delighted with the emergence of a younger
element at Stamford Bridge.
He made one big splash in January, bringing in Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina
for around £23m, but that kind of expenditure might not be repeated.
Mourinho said: "Our transfer policy doesn't need a lot of funds, because we
don't need a lot of things. We like our squad, we like our players and with
a couple of exceptions we have a young squad.
"And once more, I think our transfer policy will be nice and quiet and will
also be a consequence of the players we sell and the funds we make from the
players we sell.
"I think we are getting great credibility from the players we sell, because
we sell good players.
"So let's see what happens. But at this moment if you ask me am I happy with
the players I have here, I am happy with the squad I have.
"If you ask me 'you say zero movement in and out', I say I don't believe
because we always want to improve and there are always a couple of changes
to be made. But nothing really important. I am not worried about funds
because they are fine."
Mourinho played down any interest in Pogba, who is going to struggle to play
again this season because of a hamstring injury, as he likes the look of
young midfielder Rueben Loftus-Cheek.
He added: "I don't think about Pogba or other players. The only thing I can
tell you is we look at our midfield players. And between Nemanja Matic, Cesc
Fabregas, Ramires, Rueben, Mikel is injured - we have a good group and I
believe a lot in Rueben.
"Next season the squad will be made in a way that Reuben will not be a
number, he will compete for a position."
