Five
men involved in incidents on the Paris Metro before Chelsea's match against
Paris Saint-Germain on February 17 have been summonsed to appear in court.
Scotland Yard announced that all the men will appear at Waltham Forest
Magistrates' Court on March 25, regarding a police application for football
banning orders.
Controversy erupted last month when Chelsea fans were filmed singing racist
chants and refusing to let a man on a train ahead of a Champions League
match against PSG.
Video footage had shown commuter Souleymane Sylla being pushed back onto the
platform as some of those on the train chanted "we're racist, we're racist
and that's the way we like it".
Chelsea, who issued an unreserved apology to Souleymane, have said the club
could ban supporters involved in the incident for life.
